Worth the stay even during raining season! I am writing this letter to all the staff of The Tubkaak Krabi Boutique resort for the hospitality received over our 4 days stay from 27th-30th of August 2011. We took the risk to visit Krabi island in August although many warn us that it's a wet season. True enough, there was a downpour the moment we arrived and the drizzle continued (on & off) over the next 3 days. However we were not disappointed as we enjoyed staying in the hotel the whole time! We took an early flight and arrived at the hotel well ahead of the check in time. However the hotel had kindly prepared the room for us and even offered us buffet breakfast! Although we were not able to visit nearby island due to the rain, the reception staff recommended us the alternative to canoe along the coastline with beautiful limestone cliff. Canoeing was a wonderful experience and romantic as the coastline was quiet as its a non-peak season. The light rain was a blessing in disguise as the weather is windy & very cooling. The hotel also gave us complementary cocktail before our wedding anniversary dinner. Upon knowing that my husband's birthday also falls within our stay, they provide us a birthday cake. We also enjoyed the herbal and Thai oil massage in the hotel. Overall, The Tubkaak is indeed the "home for visitors"! Thank you for I had the best wedding anniversary vacation in Krabi.

we thouroughly enjoyed our short stay at tubkaak. the location of the chalets, set amongs trees and right on the beach, makes the whole place seem so tranquil and natural. the restaurant and bar facilities are excellent and the service very good indeed, and everything is accompanied with a smile. hope to return some time soon.

My girfriend (28) and I (32) stayed here for a week when looking for a luxurious stay of pe3ace and relaxation and we were not disappointed. The hotel is set in gorgeous tropical gardens where the architects of the hotel minimised the number of trees cut down when designing the hotel which results in a beautiful and tranquil setting. As a result the rooms are not the largest but are of a good enough size and have a great outdoor shower and bath with well made fittings and furnishings. The hotel is right on the beach but local law prevents the use of sunbeds so they provide bean bags instead. The beach is quiet, clean and with shallow sea so good for everyone.

The restaurant and cocktail bar provide excellent fod and drinks and both overlook the beautiful Hong Islands providing a movie-set backdrop to all meals and evening drinks. Prices are good value considering it's a 5* hotel and comparable to other hotels of the same price bracket.

The hotel is quiet and secluded which is perfect if that's what you're after. The hotel organise competitively priced excursions and tours and are ensure your experience goes without hitch. The service in the hotel is intimate and personal. All staff are friendly, welcoming and are genuinely warm and kind in their manner. If you're after a quiet getaway then look no further. We also stayed at the Amari Vogue just up the beach - the Tubkaak is a more quiet and intimate hotel and probably comes out on top for us of the two. I cannot recommend the Tubkaak highly enough and the team of staff there make it that extra bit special. It's not a 5 star hotel in the Rizt-Carlton/Hilton sense but it doesn't try to be and but it is 5* in it's own right.

From the time we stepped in the door, the resort radiated quality and a relaxed atmosphere. We attended our friend's wedding on the beach and I believe there could not have been a better outlook than the one we experienced to the bay and nearby islands. The staff were pleasant, helpful and the facilities were world class. I would recommend the resort to anyone searching for a no stress escape from the world.

if you are looking for a quiet getaway on a gorgeous beach, look no further! tubkaak beach is gorgeous and the resort located right in the middle of it. if you are looking for somewhere to party, this is not your hotel. it is located quite a distance from town, and the only way to get there is a taxi or the pricey hotel shuttle. the restaurant at the hotel is beautiful and the food is excellent, although quite expensive by thai standards.

We stayed in probably the simplest of rooms on the ground floor, with direct views of the pool from the small open balcony. it was a great setting for the room, and lovely having the blue pool water only 5-6m metres from the double glass doors that opened onto the balcony. We were impressed by the beach bag that was provided with awesome towels and other stuff for us to use during our stay. Room was excellent, bathroom was better! with an awesome shower, and outdoor/indoor bath soaking tub. The setting, with the pool, spa, gardens, restaurant and open to the beach was just suberb. The beach is lined with the most comfortable "bean bags" you can imagine, layed out for the guests to use all day.

The restaurant is right there, so you can order food & drinks along the stmall stretch of private beach. From the beach you can hire a long tail boat, i recommend the private tour so you can choose your own itinerary and timing, it made it so relaxing! They employ a Thai national who studied in Australia as their primary guest relations officer, and he was just fantastic, very helpful, and even travelled into the town to get some medicine for us :-) thanks Sunny! We loved everything about it, and wanted to stay longer.

Tubkaak is an extrmeley beautiful hotel. Huge thanks to Khun Petcharat and her amazing team. Service is the best we have experienced since the Maldives! All staff addressed you by your first name, how they knew who we all were (wedding part of 56) was incredible. Nothing was too much for the staff; they were all so genuine it was heartfelt.

Hotel is very authentic and felt very warm. Rooms were spacious and had the natural feel as the bathrooms were outside. Very clean rooms and staff cleaned your rooms without you even knowing they had been and gone, it was like no matter what time you leave your room they come and clean it without bothering you! Views were so beautiful, the restaurant by the beach and the big beany bags on the beach to chillax with your cocktail and watch the sunset. Food was all very delicious and they have a great variety of meals offered. The pool is large enough to relax and have a swim in, the babies pool is perfect for those new walkers! Spa is very relaxing and the hot and cold saunas is well worth doing!

Location, this hotel is approx 20 mins from Ao Naong which is a very nice town to shop and barter in and if you are in a group and want to venture out to a pub, you can get a free shuttle bus to Paddy's a great pub down the road!

Thanks Khun Petcharat and team, for all your help for Vissen and Jayne's beautiful wedding and for making all the guests for this wedding a truely memorable experience.
