Wedding schedule (Thai wedding must be performed in the morning only)

 8.59 hrs : Bride picked up by Resort Representative from villa to the wedding venue
 9.19 hrs : Groom joins “Hae Khaan Maak” ceremony and meets bride at the wedding venue
9.29 hrs : Three Buddhist monks give holy blessings to the bridal couple         
 9.50 hrs : “Rod Nam Sang” ceremony (holy water pouring and bonding ceremony)
10.15 hrs : Wedding cake and photographs
                 End of the ceremony
19.30 hrs : Romantic dinner by the beach for two with a bottle of champagne
22.00 hrs : Fly lantern

“Hae Khann Maak” : The wedding day morning, friends and relatives meet at the groom’s place. This group called “Hae” is ready for the party. Together they walk to the bride’s place in a parade with dancing and long drums. This ceremony depicts the approval of the wedding by the family and relatives who cheerfully accompany the groom to the bride’s place in order to celebrate the joyous occasion. The group carries food & fruits, artistically arranged on trays...(our staff will act as the family and relatives)

“Rod Nam Sang” (Holy water pouring and bonding ceremony): The bride & groom sit close together. Flower garlands are placed around their necks and two holy circles of connected twin are placed on their heads. Starting with the senior members of the family – each person in turn approaches the bride and groom and gives blessings for lifelong happiness as he/she pours water on the couple’s hands from a conch shell called “Sang”. Small ornamented silver bowls, called “Khan” are placed on small pedestals to collect the water poured over the hands of the newlyweds. These bowls are filled with the petals of the lotus (the blossom of fertility) and other flowers in elaborate patterns to symbolize the happy union. After all the guests have blessed the couple, the water from the bowls will be poured into the garden.

18.30 hrs : Wedding Celebration; Bridal couple open the Champagne and cut the Wedding Cake
18.45 hrs :  Merit-making by releasing fish into the pond

Legal Marriage Registration

:

A legal marriage registration for a foreign couple is processed through an embassy. Each embassy may require different documentation and different processing days. Some couples prefer using Bangkok marriage / translation offices for assistance.
